When: Saturday, April 9, 2022, 8AM to 5PM
The Mission of Yahweh is a facility in NW Houston for homeless families and battered women, https://missionofyahweh.org/. My neighbor has been involved with the mission for many years. I told her about Star of Hope and Ft. Hood and it occurred to both of us that we could do much the same at the mission.
I have scouted the facility and there is room for three studios, one for head and shoulders shots and two for families. The plan is to arrive at 8AM and start shooting at 9AM. At the moment there are 15 families and 50 single women at the mission, so it should be an easy day. If we can do the families in the morning we can then convert all studios to head and shoulder portraits.
We will deliver the images on line as we did Ft. Hood and Star of Hope and I will send the “hero” images to a photo lab to be printed and given to the participant in time for Mothers Day.
Parking can be tight at the mission so car pooling would be a big help. Please let me know if you would like to participate in this wonderful project with photography or retouching. Please call or email if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Alan Montgomery
