Star of Hope Portraits

September 25, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

We will photograph the families and the single women at the Star of Hope on September 25, from 8 to 5. Like last time we will set up four studios for families, one for the singles and a retouching lab.

We will need 10 people in the studios and 10 in the retouching lab plus some people to guide the families and run memory cards back and forth between the studios and the retouchers.  We need some retouchers that can/will work from home to test the remote retouching plan to be used at Fort Hood.

The plan is to set up on Friday afternoon starting at 3PM so we are ready to go on Saturday morning.

This not only giving back to the people in our city but it is great training and a practice session for Fort Hood.

The Star of Hope Family Center is at 2575 Reed Rd, Houston, TX 77051.  This is one block west of 288 South on Reed Road.  You will sign in at the administrative offices and then come to the photography area.

We need people that are familiar with Black women’s make-up and/or hair to help them get ready for the portraits.  Remember if these people had anything at all they would not be at Star of Hope.  I have tried a few beauticians and make-up artist with no results.  Nonprofessional people that know about make-up and hair would be a big help to the women we will be photographing.  We are happy to pay for the materials.  Please ask around as you never know who will step up to the plate.
