February is a “Two-Fer” month. We will be inside the Houston Cistern and the Jamail Skate Park at Buffalo Bayou Park on Sabine Street between Memorial and Allen Parkway. We will gather for some action photos at the skate park before the Cistern Photography Tour. The Cistern has a $15 ticket price and the club has purchased all 20 tickets for our tour. When you make a reservation with Alan M you have committed to paying for the event even if you cannot make it in the end. The tour is from 11AM until Noon, so come to the skate park whenever you like before the tour and see how good you are at quick focusing, anticipating action and capturing the moment. The Cistern is just the opposite in that you need a tripod/monopod and a totally different “Eye” for this part of history. Being that we have the entire tour for ourselves we can use tripods and monopods if we like. I strongly recommend it.
I have seen some amazing images of the both the Cistern and of skateboarders so join us and test yourself on both ends of the spectrum.
